AI Companion Payments and Billing Names: A Comparison Guide

Every AI companion app charges in a named in-app currency, so comparing billing names, monthly allowances, pack prices and expiry rules tells you more than a headline plan price.

The billing name is the first clue

Every AI companion app charges in its own in-app currency, and that name is the first thing to check before you compare prices. Character.AI bills in Charms (Charms). Date.AI sells Gems and roses bought in-app (Gems and roses bought in-app). EVA AI calls its balance Neurons (Neurons; 500 for $9.99, 2000 for $29.99). CherryPop AI runs a Cherry Coins credit system (Cherry Coins credit system). The name alone says nothing about cost, so treat it as the handle for the rest of the comparison.

The name also hints at what the currency is spent on. AI Angels describes a credits balance that funds photos, calls and video (Credits balance funds photos, calls, video), so the balance covers media rather than text. Baratnoim.hu meters its coin credits by the message (Coin credits, 1 coin per message), which makes the currency behave more like a meter than a wallet. Hayati AI spends Lulu coins on images, video, voice and gifts (Lulu coins for images, video, voice, gifts).

Subscription, top-up, or both

The structure around the currency matters as much as the name. HakkoAI offers subscription plans alongside in-app virtual currency and goods (Subscription plans plus in-app virtual currency and goods). Backyard AI runs on a message allowance with no credits (message allowance, no credits), so there is no separate balance to top up. Some apps mix the two, as dziewczyna.ai does with a monthly subscription plus usage-based fees (Monthly subscription plus usage-based fees), which means a plan does not by itself cap what you generate.

Prepaid models skip the recurring charge. GBC-AI Nika sells prepaid tokens (Prepaid tokens: 300/1000/4000 for $2.9/$8.9/$24.9). GeneratePorn.ai uses coins rather than subscriptions, and its packs never expire (Coins, not subscriptions; packs never expire). DreamGF keeps tokens for premium users and sells packages on top (Tokens; premium only; $2.99-$179.99 packages). Fanso offers token packs and credits at operator-set pricing (Token packs and credits, operator-set pricing), so read the price list rather than assuming a rate.

What arrives with the plan

A monthly allocation is the easiest allowance to budget. AIGirlfriends.ai includes a token allocation each month that refills automatically (100 tokens/month, auto-refilled), so the balance does not run down to nothing on its own. Crushi Partners bundles an annual token allocation on Premium (4,800 tokens/year on Premium; 100 tokens free on signup). FLIRTcam.AI includes tokens with premium each month (1000 tokens monthly included with premium). Get-Harder provides monthly tokens for extra features (100 tokens/month for extra features). FantasyGF includes monthly tokens and sells extra packs separately (100 tokens/month; token packs sold one-off).

Other allowances reset instead of carrying over. Fanfinity coins come as a monthly allowance that resets with no rollover (Coins; monthly allowance resets, no rollover), and Femma counts voice minutes per plan that reset monthly (Voice minutes per plan, reset monthly), so unused time is lost. Couple.me sets aside tokens each month for images and voice notes (100 tokens per month for images and voice notes). Dreamz.ai includes gems with a plan and sells extra packs (Gems; 1,000-1,500/month with plan, packs extra), while Dreambf.ai pairs monthly tokens with paid packs (Token packs from $2.99; 100 tokens/month included).

Pack sizes decide the real price

Once a balance runs low, the pack list is what you actually pay. Fantasy.ai pairs its monthly tokens with packs at several sizes (200 tokens/month; packs $2.99-$179.99). Dippy AI sells coins in packs (Coins sold in packs (100 coins $3.49)), and Chai AI sells pieces as an in-app currency bought in packs (Pieces in-app currency bought in packs). CrushOn.AI ties coins to bonus messages and sells message packs (Coins 1:1 to bonus messages; buy message packs). The right pack size depends on how often you use the paid features, so compare pack price against the monthly inclusion before choosing.

A smaller pack is the safer test if you are unsure how often you will generate media. Botify AI charges energy coins per media action (Energy coins per media action), so media-heavy use drains a balance faster than plain messaging does elsewhere.

Work out the cost per action

Divide the pack price by the cost of one action to get a comparable figure. GirlfriendGPT spends tokens on each message and on each chat image (Tokens; 1-2 per message, 3 per chat image). Dream AI Companion meters Dream Coins per use (Dream Coins; 3-20 coins per use), and DreamCompanion meters Dream Coins per generation (Dream Coins; 3-20 coins per generation). eHentai.ai lists separate token costs for images, voice messages and calls (100 tokens/month; image 10, voice msg 3, calls 7/min), which makes a mixed session the hardest one to budget.

Some balances start with a gift rather than a purchase. ChatVika grants a daily gift and sells top-ups (Credits (xu); daily free gift, top-up), so a light user may never need a pack. Baibu runs on points earned for contributions and redeemable for rewards (Points for contributions, redeemable rewards), which works differently again. AIAllure includes a token allocation in its plans (Token allocation included in plans), and Candy.ai adds token-based extras on top of the subscription (Token-based extras plus subscription).

Refunds, expiry and prepaid balances

Read the refund and expiry line before the first purchase, because it decides what happens to money you have already spent. Dondi AI describes its tokens and virtual credits as non-refundable (Tokens or virtual credits, non-refundable). HeraHaven sells a Luna Package of prepaid credits (Luna Package prepaid credits). Golove.ai credits are redeemable for extra features and expire at the end of the billing period (Credits redeemable for extra features; expire at billing end).

Expiry terms run in opposite directions across apps, so do not generalise from one balance to another. Fanfinity allowances reset rather than roll over (Coins; monthly allowance resets, no rollover), while GeneratePorn.ai packs carry no expiry (Coins, not subscriptions; packs never expire). An app that keeps a balance indefinitely can still be the costlier choice if its per-action prices are higher.

A shortlist to work from

Start wide, then narrow. The AI companion apps ranking covers the full field, and AI girlfriend apps and AI boyfriend apps split it by focus. Then read the individual pages for the brands with the clearest billing terms: AI Angels for a balance that funds media, AIGirlfriends.ai for an automatic monthly refill, Backyard AI for a plain message allowance, AIAllure for tokens bundled into plans, and Baibu for points earned rather than bought.

Keep the same notes for every app you shortlist: the billing name, the monthly inclusion, the pack price, and the expiry rule. Apps with the same monthly inclusion can still differ sharply on pack sizes and expiry, so the currency name on its own will not settle the choice.
